Long-term landlords prefer their tenants to stay, as this means they don`t have the trouble and cost of finding new tenants, and they don`t have empty (invalid) periods without rental income. As with other secure leases, the lessor may give a Property Search Notice (NSP) indicating the reason(s) on which the property is requested (see the Communications: Secure Rental Agreements pages for more information). But back to my first point. The DPS said he didn`t need to let me know, that the lease was over and he could move without penalty that day. However, as stated above, a lessor has the legal right to repossess his property at the end of the lease (deadline set in the rental agreement). . . .
